Taste the Freshness of Washington County

The region’s farmers’ markets are teeming with fruit, vegetables, plants and so much more, all collected from the farms and fields of the region. Goods range from herbs and flowers to cheese and baked delicacies. Markets are also more than food; they offer entertainment such as live music, chef demonstrations and kids' activities. On almost any day of the week, there's a farmers' market somewhere in Washington County.

Saturday Markets

The Beaverton Farmers Market boasts one of the largest selections of nursery stock in the region, and as it surpasses 20 years in the business, is recognized as one of the best farmers’ markets on the West Coast with more than 200 vendors. The market runs May through October. 
The Cedar Mill Farmers’ Market sponsored by Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District, offers organic produce and plants as well as handmade arts and crafts. Homemade cheesecake, fresh-baked breads, fresh-ground coffee, pastries, kettle corn, and lunch options round out the market experience. For the kids, weekly fun includes free balloon animals, face painting and live music. The market runs from May through October. 

The Hillsboro Saturday Farmers Market is one of the longest-running farmers’ markets in the Pacific Northwest. The Saturday market offers fresh, locally grown produce, nursery stock, arts and crafts, as well as live entertainment, right in downtown Hillsboro at Main Street and 2nd Avenue, May through October.

The Sherwood Saturday Market will return in May 2012.

Sunday Markets

The Hillsboro Sunday Farmers’ Market  is held weekly at Orenco Station.  Locally grown produce, nursery plants and arts and crafts are offered, along with culinary delights that often are not included in other markets. This runs from May through October.  

The Tigard Area Farmers’ Market  features locally grown produce, plants, flowers and handcrafted items at its Sunday market. The popular farmers’ market presents live entertainment each week, and hosts events throughout the season, which runs May through October.

Wednesday Market

The Forest Grove Farmers Market will return in May 2012.

Thursday Market

The Hillsboro Thursday Farmers' Market is will return in July 2012.

Friday Market

The Tualatin Farmers Market will return in June 2012.
