Yellow Warbler Watching in Oregon

The Yellow Warbler is a small songbird that is known to breed and spend summers almost all over the United States, and Canada, and they are found in Oregon, though not in great numbers. The underside on both males and females is a bright yellow and have yellow tail spots, with males also having yellow edges on wings. Both sexes average around 5 inches long when mature.Yellow Warblers mostly eat insects, gleaning them from branches and occasionally the ground, but are known to eat fruit as well. These birds are also known for an unusual style of building their own new nest on top of other birds' abandoned nests, sometimes reaching many levels high.
