Washington County's fine dining scene has been growing in recent years with the addition of new and exciting restaurants. These are some of the area's most notable dining establishments and local hot spots. dinner plate

1910 Main An American Bistro (1910 Main St., Forest Grove) is Washington County's newest restaurant. Located in the heart of the north Willamette Valley wine country, in downtown Forest Grove, 1910 Main serves classic comfort food with a Northwest twist, such as burgers made with lamb, mushroom and quinoa, or the game of the day.

Located in the tonied Murrayhill suburb of Beaverton, is Cafe Murrayhill (14500 Murray-Scholls Dr., Beaverton), which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dine al fresca while overlooking the tranquil pond, or take a seat indoors and enjoy a menu featuring fresh ingredients from local farms, as well as Oregon wine and beer.

In downtown Beaverton is decarli (4545 SW Watson Ave.), an Italian-inspired, fine-dining restaurant with a menu that changes weekly and features fresh, seasonal Northwest ingredients. The wine list includes both local favorites and fine Italian wines, and the happy hour is one of the most popular in the area.

Traditional American dishes made with a distinctive Northwest flair and ingredients is the hallmark of Hall Street Grill (3775 SW Hall Blvd., Beaverton), making it a Greater Portland institution. Open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, the menu features a variety of seafood, meat and vegetarian-friendly dishes, plus wines from around the world. Not to miss is "25 Wines for $25," a list of red and white wines that are $25 per bottle -- a great value!

Hayden's Lakefront Grill (8187 SW Tualatin-Sherwood Rd., Tualatin) is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and specializes in Pacific Northwest cuisine. Pastas, steaks and seafood are just some of the dishes on this diverse menu, and the wine list includes wine from Oregon and Washington, as well as Germany, Italy and New Zealand.

Syun Izakaya (209 NE Lincoln St., Hillboro) has been recognized as one of the best sushi restaurants in the Greater Portland area for several years. Modeled after the small, rustic taverns in Japan where people gather for an after-work beer, saké and shochu, Syun recreates an authentic Japanese dining experience. Open for lunch and dinner, the menu features sushi, tempura, noodle dishes and grilled meats, and includes an extensive list of saké--including locally produced sakés from SakéOne--and plum wines.

These are just a selection of fine-dining restaurants you'll find in Oregon's Washington County. See the area's complete list of restaurants, listed by cuisine type.
