Bamboo Garden
Bamboo Garden has been at the forefront of the bamboo-growing industry since opening and becoming an American Bamboo Society (ABS) member in 1980. Owner Ned Jaquith helped establish the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the society and has been awarded Honorary Lifetime Membership for many years of service. The 16-acre nursery boasts more than 300 types of bamboo, specializing in hardy clumping species and hardy giant timber bamboos. Bamboo Garden has supplied bamboo for many large commercial landscaping projects, including: Portland Classical Chinese Garden, Portland Japanese Garden, Oregon Zoo, and the Asia Trail at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C.
