The rolling hillsides of Shafer Vineyard Cellars’ lush vineyards were established in 1973, with the first wines produced from these vines in 1978. At Shafer, the emphasis is on quality, which allows the winery to produce 100-percent estate-grown sparkling wines, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling, Muller-Thurgau, Gewürztraminer and dessert wines. Harvey and Miki Shafer invite you to visit the Shafer Vineyard Cellars, which overlooks the picturesque Gales Creek Valley, for a complimentary wine tasting. The 2-acre oak-shaded area adjacent to the winery has tables and a large seated gazebo, each providing a natural setting to enjoy a picnic lunch or to just relax and enjoy the view. While visiting, be sure to stop by Miki’s Old World Christmas and Gift Shop, for a unique experience. Shafer’s tasting room is open daily, 11am-5pm.
